Sealions and the moon

Description
The wind was fierce that day and had not done the usual settling down as evening drew past. Despite the over 40 knot gusts, I made my way out for another round of observation. The waves crashed and blew across the western side of Race Rocks and a slight mist of saltwater hung in the air. Turquoise and glowing blues rolled in the massive waves and within them, the lone sea otter that often hides within the kelp beds on the outskirts of the marine protected space. Today though, he fed along the west shore, not within the sheltered side, but upon the rolling waves. Diving and coming up to lounge on his back with an urchin. He’d balance, smash and consume all while water and wind whipped around him.
